    OFF THE STREETS - BRIDGEPORT is a 501(C)(3) non-sectarian, non-governmental, all-volunteer charitable organization whose dedicated mission is to house the homeless in modest apartments. Off The Streets- Bridgeport provides security deposits, basic furniture, and living needs for those homeless people who have no other means of providing these but do have a means of paying monthly rent. Off The Streets - Bridgeport works with local social service agencies dealing with homelessness and those in danger of becoming homeless. The social workers refer their clients to us after they have screened the candidates to ensure they have sufficient income to pay monthly rent on an ongoing basis. Many of the clients have pensions or disability income, employment, or a combination thereof. Once the individuals/families are housed, the social workers provide ongoing case management.
