About Gerard Healy
I have operated as a senior executive in numerous regulated industries and particularly enjoy commercialising and growing new offerings within larger businesses. I have raised capital in public and private markets, bought and sold businesses and been a member of the key management personnel through the IPO process and subsequent publicly listed environment. I am also a qualified lawyer. I started my career as a general commercial lawyer and then as a mergers and acquisition lawyer before transitioning to commercial and directorial roles in the private education industry. I was later appointed as CEO of Builders Academy Australia, a wholly owned subsidiary of one of Australia's largest residential home builders in Simonds Group (ASX:SIO), and drove its commercialisation into a business that became a meaningful part of the Simonds Group IPO in November 2014. I then converged my legal and real estate experiences by co-founding a conveyancing business with the backing of sophisticated investors, which was later sold to Lakeba Group. After a few years in the conveyancing and property technology space I re-entered the Vocational Education and Training industry and am proud to now be leading Kallibr Training, a national specialist in High Risk Work Licensing and Safety training.
Listed skills include Contract Negotiation, Corporate Governance, Business Strategy, Due Diligence, and 34 others.
