While in the final year of FSU's 4+1 dual bachelor's and master's in electrical engineering program, I was recruited by the CEO of Capital Avionics Inc. to work as their first RF engineer ever. My role was to figure out how to design the RF circuitry for a major weather radar test set with minimal guidance. I not only completed this goal on time, but with RF designs that vastly exceeded expectations resulting in a promotion to senior electro-mechanical engineer.As senior electro-mechanical engineer, my primary role was the design of all electrical hardware, mechanical hardware, and their overall system integration. On the electrical side, this included PCBs (all kinds), cables, wiring diagrams, circuit schematics and more using a variety of programs. On the mechanical side, this included numerous mechanical parts and assemblies using primarily Solidworks and AutoCAD. In addition, I have also had numerous managerial tasks such as recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising engineering interns, redesigning an outdated inventory system, establishing a calibration department, and more.Next I spent a year working as an electromechanical engineer in the EPCAD department of Lockheed Martin MFC. My primary role there was PCB layout design and assisting with all related tasks such as schematic design and input reviews and discussions.In my current role at L3Harris Technologies I have been working as an RF engineer performing all relevant tasks that that entails. This involves designing rf passive layouts, simulating pcb transitions, simulation of PCB trace lines and running eye diagram channel sims, testing hybrid modules and integrating them into a system test, BER testing and eye diagram capture of high speed signals, and more.As stated earlier, I have both a master's and bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. During graduate school I had a focus in advanced electromagnetic field theory with emphasis towards RF engineering. In undergrad, I was focused in fields and electronic devices, and got minors in both mathematics and physics. In addition, I am a certified interconnect designer (CID) and also a certified engineer in training (EIT)
