Identifies potential claims for violations of state and federal consumer protection laws and serves as local counsel to prosecute claims against abusive creditors, debt collectors, credit reporting agencies, mortgage loan servicers, and other related claims.

As a Corrections Officer: Was responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the facility, its staff, inmates, and visitors. Controlled inmate movement. Executed scheduled and unscheduled counts to insure inmate accountability. Monitored inmate work, recreation, school, and vocational programs. Participated in contraband searches. Responded to various emergency situations ranging from assaults and spontaneous uses of force to medical emergencies and escape attempts. Conducted armed roving patrols of the outside perimeter of facility. As a member of the Corrections Emergency Response Team: Worked under the C.E.R.T. Commander and was responsible for responding to emergency situations ranging from minor disturbances, evacuations and mass movements of inmates, to riots and hostage situations. Remained on 24 hour standby for activation in response to incidents at host facility, or any collaborative facility that may need assistance.As a Shift Sergeant: Served under the Shift Lieutenant and supervised approximately 50 officers per shift. Assisted in training, formed shift schedules, supervised pre-planned uses of force, typed incident reports, responded to calls for assistance from officers and other staff to deescalate situations and resolve issues throughout the facility, briefed officers and superiors on shift activities before and after every shift.As a Case Manager: Worked under the Classifications Chief and was responsible for a caseload of approximately 130 inmates. Maintained records of inmate housing, education, training, visitation rights, and sanctions. Developed monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports of inmate security levels and behavior profiles. Worked closely with other professionals in security, mental health, education, vocational and classification departments to adjust the security levels of individual inmates accordingly.

Conducted roaming patrols of facility to ensure the safety and security of visitors, employees and inmates. Executed and reported counts of inmate population at the beginning and end of every shift. Organized and passed out food, mail, commissary products and receipts for money orders and phone cards to inmates. Extracted and restrained inmates for movement within the facility as well as supervised groups of inmates while working within the facility and the surrounding grounds. Took custody of inmates and their property from Law Enforcement Officers, and booked them and their charges into electronic database for county court hearings. Took part in routine searches for weapons and contraband on inmates, their property, and living spaces. Stood posts in designated control centers to facilitate the movement of employees and inmates within the facility and observation of inmates using constant radio communication, switchboard controls for remote operation of cell doors, and close circuit cameras. Typed up incident reports for higher authorities to be maintained and submitted as possible evidence after any event that may warrant such actions.

Planned and conducted classroom instruction on the fundamentals of marksmanship and nomenclature of all Marine Corps issued small arms. Trained students through practical application to reinforce classroom instructions and familiarize them with loading and unloading procedures as well as a variety of shooting stances. Supervised between thirty and fifty students at a time for up to twelve hours a day while conducting live fire exercises on small arms ranges. Scheduled range operations for the annual re-qualification and small arms proficiency of all marines assigned to each class in accordance with Marine Corps wide mandates.

Utilized dedicated software programs to plan, organize, and implement movement of personnel, equipment, and vehicles via detailed air, ship, and rail load plans. Generated and maintained records tracking millions of dollars’ worth of military equipment. Maintained deployment databases containing records of equipment for unit deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Trained and lead a team of logisticians while moving and maintaining operational forces in a combat environment. Established, maintained, and controlled transportation throughput systems on beaches, landing zones, air/seaports, rail, truck, and container terminals. Received, packaged, labeled and prepared hazardous materials for shipment by land, sea, and air in accordance with all federal and local environmental regulations.
