Driven biochemistry student pursuing a graduate school of medicine. Currently working part-time as a behavioral health technician for a drug/alcohol rehabilitation facility as well as managing the operations of my seamless-gutter company. I have partnered with my colleague, Ronak Tripathy, in the initiation of our Substance Use Prevention Program. I helped facilitate the connection to its first partner, Columbus Alternative High School. The Substance Use Prevention Program aims to educate high school students on drug use and its consequences through personal accounts offered by sober-living residents. Prior to the implementation of drug education, we greatly emphasize the establishment of relationships amongst faculty and students. This is done through the integration of undergraduate tutors and teacher assistants. We believe students will be most receptive after a sense of trust and familiarity have been established. Our curriculum has been vetted by OSU pharmacy students and physicians at Maryhaven. We plan to create a continuous relationship with CAHS and hope to branch to underserved communities.
