Taught sculpture to high school students in a competitive, statewide visual arts pre-college summer program. Developed a specialized curriculum based on students’ interests and abilities which incorporated examples from art history and the work of contemporary artists. Provided guidance in open studio sessions, created slideshows and lectures, supervised field trips, assisted visiting artists, and helped to design and mount gallery exhibitions. Developed and taught classes online in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

I collaborated with teams to design and paint custom murals, apply fine finishes to walls, ceilings, and floors, and touch-up, restore, and refinish furniture and artworks. Mastered a variety of techniques including strié, drag, stenciling, trompe-l'œil, padded glaze, comb, wood grain, ombre, cross-brush, and Venetian Plaster. Helped clients with Autism, Dementia, Anxiety, and Depression in therapeutic sessions customized to their individual abilities and interests. Researched and implemented techniques to improve, slow degenerative illness, and maintain gross and fine motor skills, speech, and expression. Planned and accompanied clients on outings to foster positive social interactions. Worked with families, and professionals to coordinate support and evaluate changes according to the specific needs of each client.

I created a wide and deep program of classes, workshops, field trips, exhibitions, artist talks, and studio visits for older adults in Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing Care, and Memory Care. I collaborated with the Therapeutic Recreation team, Music Therapist, and Resident Committees to create new programs and events that consider the strengths and interests of the community and improve resident engagement. I taught weekly classes in ceramics, art history, drawing and painting, and process-based abstraction. I worked with local artists and resident artists to curate and present meaningful group and individual exhibitions of their artwork in two onsite galleries. I supported a monthly edition magazine made by the residents.
