Experienced Regional Director | Education Administrator | Driving Excellence in School CommunitiesI am an accomplished education administrator with a proven track record of success in driving educational excellence. Recently appointed as the Regional Director for the same community I previously served as a Community of School Administrator in the Los Angeles Unified School District, I am excited to continue making a positive impact on the schools and communities we serve.In my previous role as a Community of School Administrator, I led a dedicated team of 10 educators in supervising and supporting principals and teachers in the Huntington Park, Walnut Park, and Vernon Communities of Schools. Together, we worked tirelessly to ensure high-quality education and foster a supportive learning environment for all students.Throughout my career, I have consistently delivered results and achieved significant milestones. As a Lead Director (Principal Supervisor), I successfully led and supported principals and fellow principal supervisors in achieving outstanding educational outcomes. Additionally, in my role as Senior Executive Director in the Principal Supervisors program at New Leaders, I provided guidance and support to Principal Supervisors across multiple districts nationwide.Prior to these roles, I held positions of Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction, as well as Chief Academic Officer for the Los Angeles Unified School District. In these capacities, I managed a substantial instructional budget, oversaw the Curriculum and Instruction Office, and led principal supervisors for a significant number of schools. I played a pivotal role in shaping the District's strategic plan, including the successful implementation of the College and Career Ready Standards and the District's Master Plan for English Learners.During my tenure, the District witnessed remarkable achievements. The graduation rate rose from 64% in 2012 to 70.4% in 2014, and student participation in Advanced Placement Courses increased from 10.7% in 2012 to 14.5% in the 2015-16 school year. These accomplishments were made possible through collaborative efforts and effective leadership.I began my career as a high school mathematics teacher and gradually progressed to positions such as technology coordinator, assistant principal, and principal at the middle and high school levels. My experience in these diverse roles has provided me with valuable insights into the challenges faced by educators and students alike.
