An intuition about the one and the many, or what we could call the pluriverse, has been present in my life, both in my work as a social anthropologist, as educator, as facilitator, as activist and as a traveler. For me, the anthropological question is how do we become human. This is an interrogation of the relationship between nature and culture. When we can peer through the openings to the different -either in a page, a canvas, a song, a story, a ceremony or a conversation, just to name a few-, we can discover a sense of possibility, a deepening of the imagination, an expansion of sensibilities. We become active participants in world-making practices, and we can reduce the harm of unjust, unbalanced, ways of being, knowing and relating. This question, this desire, this possibility is what has guided my career. How to unlearn oppression and violence so that the abundant creativity of the one-and-the-many can emerge? This requires a reinvention of the relationship to self, to others, and to Earth. To understand our place in an evolving pluriverse that is not 'outside there' but that is constitutive and foundational, profoundly interwoven. I am currently focusing on creating, designing, and hosting un/learning spaces for individuals, collectives and organizations that wish to tap with curiosity in the possibility of weaving together an emergent, flexible, localized, innovative culture. Through the development of journeys, workshops, seminars and courses, and through the interpersonal weaving of networks and platforms of encounter and reflection where ethical collaborations can arise and where participants can get in touch with their creative source and be the change we want to see in the world.

Co-FounderEnlivened Cooperative Jan 2021 - PresentAlong with a growing collective of diverse and highly experienced learning practitioners who have been actively engaged in the field of education as teachers, professors, researchers, activists, leaders, artists, filmmakers, programers, and learners, in the Enlivened Cooperative we are deeply committed to addressing the structural challenges of education (and beyond) through our way of organizing, leading and facilitating learning. As educator-activists, we intervene within the pedagogical, epistemological, leadership and economic aspects of education, to provide a model of how learning can be carried out in service of our ecologies, economies, communities, cultures, cosmovisions and life within our planetary home. We also want to make learning more relevant, meaningful and accessible to people that historically have not had access to higher and further education and are actively engaging in transforming their communities and ecologies. As a co-founder of the Cooperative, I have focused on the design of seminars and programs, both online and in person, as well as co-weaving the relational foundations of our work as a space to reimagine learning in support of people, grassroots communities and organizations with tools, practices and sensibilities to co-construct inter-cultural and ecological worlds. -
