Over the past years with FOX 4 News in Dallas, I've helped the news station cover major events across the metroplex. I helped with digital coverage of the July 7 ambush on police officers in Downtown Dallas, the Amber Guyger shooting trial, the controversial arrest of Fort Worth resident Jacqueline Craig, the search and discovery of 3-year-old Sherin Mathews and much more.I am a Sulphur Springs native who moved to Tyler in 2011 to attend The University of Texas at Tyler where I received my degree in Mass Communication.During my collegiate career, I reported for UT Tyler's award-winning media outlet, the Patriot Talon. I also won several awards from the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association for my video stories and features. On top of classwork and the Patriot Talon, I was also an active member of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity and maintained a part-time job and an internship at KETK NBC.I joined the KYTX CBS19 news team in January 2015 as a Web Producer and was promoted to Multimedia Journalist in June.I made the jump to Dallas as a web producer for KDFW FOX 4 in 2016 to try the big city life and have fallen in love with the city.
