Responsible for monitoring the working conditions within the company to ensure that all activity is compliant with state and federal safety regulations. Responsible to enforce the company's health and safety guidelines, inspects workspaces, machinery, vehicles, and products to ensure they are up to safety standards, and provides safety training accordingly per department.Essential functions:• Updates Cal-OSHA 300 logs for the year accordingly. • Posts the Cal-OSHA 300A log. • Trains employees in safety procedures at the time of hire and as needed. • Designs methods for appraising safety conditions in warehouse, factories, or offices. • Inspects working conditions to ensure all products and activities are compliant with safety guidelines. • Oversees use of dangerous chemicals and machinery.• Writes up reports detailed inspections process.• Addresses any workplace-related health and safety issues and incidents.• Ensures all departments have turned in their bi-monthly Safety Meeting Minutes. • Ensure that all Weekly Vehicle Inspection Reports are submitted by all drivers. • Responsible for the IIPP for all departments and ensures they are kept up to date.• Responsible for all SDS for all departments and ensure they are kept up to date. • Ensures annual Hearing test are conducted for the fabrication department. • Ensures annual Fit testing for all employees that wear a respirator is conducted.• Conduct fit testing of respirator to new employees. • Schedules all Bi-Yearly First Aid/CPR for all supervisors and document. • Schedules yearly Fire Extinguisher Certification for both the warehouse and the fabrication office and any company vehicle.• Purchases all Safety Equipment needed for all departments.• Reviews DOT program procedures and protocols• Ensures that all forklift drivers have licenses that are up to date.• Conduct investigations after work injuries occur using appropriate OSHA guidelines.
