This role is responsible for managing and enhancing various robust, scalable, high quality test automation Java Frameworks such as BDD, POM, hybrid (keyword-driven), Karate. These frameworks integrate seamlessly with tools such as Jira, Report Portal, Browserstack, and Jenkins (among many others).Drove the implementation of Rest-Assured, Shadow-DOM UI Testing, BiDi protocol for Selenium and overseen quarterly releases for the several teams which use our frameworks.Coordinating with an offshore team on the resolution of support tickets related to the frameworks to unblock users facing setup and development issues.Collaborating closely across different teams to streamline processes and reach better, faster solutions.

MUFG Union Bank is a major commercial banking organization which serves customers in community banking, consumer, commercial and small business lending, and wealth management.This role is responsible for leading building test automation solutions for functional, regression, and performance testing.Replaced an outdated internal automation framework with a new one made from scratch with open-source libraries, and leveraged it to be scalable enough to be implemented in upcoming projects easily.Supporting team members with configurations regarding the development environment, and mentored a team member to ramp up on test automation development.

E-Trade (EPAM's client) is an electronic trading platform used to trade financial assets (stocks, options, investments). The project that I'm currently working on is a complete redesign of the iOS mobile application.The role of an automation engineer at E-Trade is to automate regression test cases that are previously written by the QA team using a combination of Java/Appium/TestNG and the Page Object Model design pattern. These automated test cases are run every day on a mobile device cloud (Sauce Labs) via Jenkins to assure the quality of the application, since changes to the application are made daily.Because of the fast-paced methodology, the responsibilities of this role also involve close communication with the dev/QA/product teams to report potential issues early, or modify scripts before they get affected.

Switchfly is an agile SaaS company in the travel industry, one of the biggest products out there and I'm lucky to be part of this amazing team. The basic workflow for a QA engineer in all projects is doing manual testing for user stories and then develop automation test cases if needed. Past projects/initiatives I've worked on: • Professional services team: the objective in this initiative is launching new client sites and features for them • Mobile team: in charge of developing a mobile platform to increase the userbase for clients • R&D team: the objective of this team is to develop a full site renovation using a new responsive, cleaner design. Current project: • Connectors team: in charge of developing new normalized (usable in our system) models that interface with different types of external systems to bridge the gap between our model and our clients' models. Things that I'm proud of: • Professional services team: Juggled testing between 6 different clients and to help with the launching of many enhancements for their platforms • Mobile team: I was able to take ownership of the project, helping with the successful launch of the mobile platforms for two big clients • R&D team: Helped implementing new testing processes to develop automated test cases in earlier stages of development. This greatly reduced the amount of rework when aiming to automate past functionalities • Connectors team: Developed guidelines for upcoming functionalities, which reduced build/launch time by 25%• Connectors team: Successfully launched a product by taking ownership of the project and communicating directly with the client via email
