I am responsible to procure the spare parts, tools and equipment needed to keep the molds in proper conditions to run efficiently; also as part of my responsibilities is support Injection Molding, Quality and Engineering departments to identify opportunities in the injection molds to improve cycle time and quality of the plastic part, also with Engineering Changes.- I was responsible of the management and readiness of all 39 plastic injection molds that will be molded in our Arlington Plant, from working closely with Product Engineering to review the feasibility of the plastic part, reviewing mold flows; once the injection mold source was selected, I worked closely with the source stablishing the timing for the different stages and activities on the construction of each injection tool, from preliminary mold design review to tryouts of the tools to validate its functionality (cycle time) and quality of the plastic part. Also coordinated and validated the tryouts of the injection tools in home line injection machine to be ready for SOP of the program.- I reviewed the production capacity of our equipment to meet our costumer’s demand.- Help with activities and information for the readiness such as Standard Work Instructions for the Plastic Injection Machines and some our secondary equipment in the plant.
