IT Senior Development Analyst supports IT leadership and senior development professionals in the analysis of software and hardware system needs, options, risks, costs, and impact on business process and goals. Worked on a project related to surety insurance systems. Gather information from the client about the project's requirements, created the low level detailed design, developed the oracle DML scripts, added additional code required for this project to existing Oracle PL/SQL and Korn shell scripts to include data for new outside clients and developed the code for the conversion of insurance data from one database to another.

My involvement as a PL/SQL developer was to develop and maintain oracle PL/SQL code for existing PBM applications software.A business analyst would provide me the High level design, I would then develop the Low level design, after that phase, the coding and development would start, the projects basically consisted in created delimited files that contained benefit and pharmacy related data, these files were sent to either inside or outside clients.Shell scripts were developed to call the Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures based on the business requirements. The Korn shell scripting code that was developed contained the declaration of the profile information, declaration of variables needed, calling of oracle stored procedures, removing of old files , file transfer of files produced to other network servers and archiving of files.Once coding was complete and unit testing was performed on the code, prepared documentation for the integration testing by the QA team, I was also responsible to provide the hand-off and deployment documents for the final phase of the project which consisted in the delivery of the code to production.The production support responsibilities included the running of ad-hoc requests by the internal client utilizing a ticket (JIRA) generated system.To deliver certain requests, SQL queries were created and executed to provide pharmacy related reports in either text or excel format files, for some requests, a process needed to be followed, for example, the execution of shell scripts, loading of data into temporary tables and finally execution of existing oracle scripts were performed in order to provide a deliverable to the business.Utilized Oracle ETL utilities such as SQL loader utility to load data from flat delimited files into tables.Exposed to data warehousing activities such as the creation, updating, deleting of tables, indexes, SQL tuning and other database activities.
