Over twenty-five years of Construction and Materials Management experience. Experience as a Materials Coordinator, Erosion Control Manager and Assistant Resident Engineer:Materials Coordinator: Manages, Supervises, and Coordinates testing staff, including subconsultants. Assures that materials are IDOT and ISTHA approved and are tested according to ASTM standards and ACI specifications. Reviews and approves material submittal packages for conformance. Field experience ranges from the placement of sub base to the final finished pavement. Processes, reviews, approves, creates, and uploads material reports into the I-MIRS Web Database (Illinois Materials Inspection and Reporting System) which include: Portland Cement Concrete, Hot Mix Asphalt, and Aggregate test reports. Assures selection of materials and products in specification conform to quality requirements and applicable standards set forth by owner.Implements the responsibilities required in the IDOT standard specifications, Tollway standard specifications and contract special provisions for materials before incorporating into the project.Erosion Control Manager: Responsible for scheduling and preparing Erosion Control Reports, weekly and within 24 hours of a storm greater than 0.5 inches or more, or equivalent snowfall. Coordinates and inspects the installation and maintenance of erosion control measures identified in the Erosion Sediment Control Plan, until the site has been stabilized with the final landscaping.Assistant Resident Engineer: Directs and supervises field staff. Responsibilities encompass all areas of office engineering, field engineering, inspection, project controls, and contract administration. Ensure project conforms to plans, specifications, and applicable standards. Actively manage the construction process with a focus on quality. Manage project close-out internally and externally.
