About Gerardo Antonio Brenes Trejos
Computer Engineer graduated from the Technological Institute of Costa Rica (1982), Master in Computer and Information Sciences from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) with a specialty in Databases (1987). He founded GBSYS S.A. Costa Rican IT Infrastructure Management and Software Development company on July 16, 1987, where he is currently the CEO (www.gbsys.com). Since then he has dedicated himself to consulting in Information Technology. He has been a professor at different universities in the country, especially at the Technological Institute of Costa Rica where he is also a student in the Doctorate in Business Administration. He is interested in the topics of Big-Data, Artificial Intelligence, Mobile Developments, Cloud Computing, Agromatics, Innovation, Software Quality, Secure Software and Talent Retention. In his free time he enjoys the beach, the mountains, traveling, biking, eating, reading, karaoke and above all spending time with family and friends.
