I am a Certified Medical Interpreter (CoreCHI) with over eight years of experience in providing free-lance interpreting services to Indigenous Mayan Mam speaking communities across the United States. I work at El Interprete Maya, a company that offers high-quality and timely interpretations in three modes: in-person, telephone, and video.My core competencies include consecutive and simultaneous interpretation, teamwork, diversity and inclusion, and cultural competence. My mission is to remove language and cultural barriers in real-time, especially for limited-English or non-English speakers who face high-risk and time-sensitive situations in health care settings.
