Working as a design engineer at Sensata Technologies, I deal with a various range of product design related challenges. Different stages of a product are experienced: from prototype stages as well as the product in series production. In all these different stages, the focus was on automotive quality and costs. The different 6sigma techniques are used to achieve this were FMEA, QFD and 8D. These are also presented and discussed with customers.In September 2008 I was elected to join to the work council of Sensata Technologies.

During my PhD at the University of Liverpool, knowledge of large volume data analysis was gained. With this my analytical problem skills were improved. To validate the data analysis, a correlation with simulations (Monte Carlo) is made. I have demonstrated good communication skills with PhD, MSc. and undergraduate students.

During my placement at the FOM institute a new heater system for JET nuclear fusion tokamak was developed. A conceptual check was made by experiments and simulations.

At the University of Oxford a project to measure the stiffness of bone fractures was started. The work performed during this period was a combination of mechanical and electrical engineering. Tests and improvements to the design were made to map out the impact of the feasability of the method.
