When I'm not working in strategy, I'm reading about strategy or playing strategy games :) What I really like about strategy is figuring out the mechanics of how systems work, what the critical success factors are, and devising a way to position oneself to give the highest chance of success.During my PhD I focused on competitive strategy in the digital domain, and have over the past couple of years as a consultant gained a lot of exposure to general business strategy, competitive strategy, digital transformation, corporate venturing, innovation and cleantech.I’m passionate about the analysis of complex systems, strategy, business models, technology and innovation, e-business and management. I like holistic perspectives, paradoxes, ideas and novelty; and I believe in the continuous pursuit of efficiency, effectiveness and improvement. I enjoy strategizing, analysing, conceptualising, problem solving, managing, mentoring and connecting people. I have a passion for developing conceptual tools that guide people's strategic thinking, innovation and problem solving processes. I have already developed more than 10 conceptual tools and aspire to refine and develop many more in future.I am the co-author of 2 business strategy books: (1) Crystallising the strategic business landscape and (2) Navigating strategic possibilities.
