As the lead of the Impact Studio I am leading several valorisation support activities, such as:- Ideation Labs - a cross-university operated program, connecting students and researchers to explore commercial opportunity of IP. - Customer Discovery Support - an in-house consultancy service offered to researchers to quickly explore the commercial opportunity of IP, create a business plan and apply for funding- Founders Library - a library full of created and collected entrepreneurial content, organized per topic- Open Office Coaching - coaching to everyone TU Delft affiliated who can use some extra support from a coach to boost their entrepreneurial journey

Within the Impact Studio we help researchers and students with innovative technologies to explore and validate markets and guide these entrepreneurs in the first steps of their entrepreneurial career.Rapid market Validation is a new initiative within the TU Delft to support researchers in quickly learning about the market opportunities of their innovation and explore the opportunities to build a start-up with it.

BugSee is a recent Biotech spin-out from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and SciLifeLab. We develop a rapid pathogen isolation, detection and enrichment solution that allows to detect bacteria in blood and provides a viable isolate in less than 2 hours.

Unifix Care is a one-stop-shop for surgical instruments. We provide both refurbished and new instruments on our platform. By bundling the supply, optimizing the logistic system and cutting out the middleman we reduce the cost and increase the availability of surgical instruments in sub-Sahara Africa. Our focusmarkets are currently Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda and Malawi.

Our client was a start-up that developed an innovative TU Delft technology that substantially reduce noise emissions at the trailing edges of blades. This technology could be applied in onshore wind, aviation, HVAC, urban air mobility and drones. The project consisted of market exploration, selecting a beachhead market and developing a market-entry strategy.

As director I was responsible general management of the Delft department and the various project teams that belonged to it. Within the directors team I was responsible for the internal training, marketing and the training weekend. In addition, as a guiding director, I was involved in a project where they helped an agrotech start-up explore the different possible national markets they can target, select one and then roll out a market entry strategy.

As a junior consultant, I worked with my team on a project for a start-up that wanted to improve the procurement process of medical equipment for hospitals and independent treatment clinics. We helped them to define their beachhead market.

In the Company Relations position I was responsible for connecting ambitious students and companies, mainly through events. This year I started some new concepts. These are: - FRESH Talent Program - Students received training from experience experts in the field. - FRESH Career Pitch - Pitching event where both students and companies pitches themselves. - FRESH Podcast - Jong Geleerd, Oud Gebouwd - A podcast series where young people gained more insight into the real estate sector and could hear inspiring stories from successful real estate professionals. - FRESH & Friends - A big network event where all partner companies and active students got to connect.

FRESH is an interdisciplinary organization for young highly educated individuals with a lot of passion and interest in Real Estate. FRESH brings these people together in two networks; FRESH Students and FRESH Professionals. The FRESH Student association organizes substantive activities and events in order to bring students and organizations together. It is the perfect opportunity for students to gain knowledge about possible career opportunities. The FRESH board organizes interesting activities with the companies within our network throughout the year in collaboration with committees. An important role for the board is to ensure that everything runs smoothly, that the activities are of high quality and that contacts with the companies are well maintained. Within the function of Student Relations, I keep in touch with the students who are affiliated with the organization of FRESH Students. In addition, I take the lead in organizing activities to thank our committee members.

The International Challenge is the largest and most impressive event of FRESH Students of the year. The International Challenge is a unique event where students and companies interact with each other in an international and diverse context. It is an excellent opportunity for companies to meet internationally oriented top students within the network of FRESH students and to present career opportunities. This year's theme is applications of Big Data to better appreciate buildings now and in the future. With a group of 20 students, various leading companies in the Netherlands and New York will be visited to gain new insights on this subject and ultimately give a final presentation about it. Within the Company Relations function, I set up collaborations with companies in the Netherlands and New York. Some of the activities are, discussing sponsorship deals, discussing substantive workshops and presentations and a fun, educational interpretation of the company visits.

For a long time, there has been talk about a neighborhood approach to efficiently transition the heating of neighborhoods away from natural gas usage. When the Ministry of Home Affairs defined the challenge of natural gas-free neighborhoods as one of the challenges within the Startup in Residence program, we at De Energiebespaarders saw this as an excellent opportunity to use our knowledge and experience for to work out a solution. After completing the selection process, we eventually became the winner of the challenge of natural gas-free neighborhoods. This was the starting signal to continue working on the concept in collaboration with the Ministry of the Home Affairs. After an intensive pressure cooker with many expert interviews and literature research, the concept has turned into a real solution; Building Blocks. Building Blocks is a coordinated solution to remove every neighborhood from natural gas by helping residents, the municipality and market parties with a total solution. By mapping needs, problems and fears, solutions were developed in the form of Building Blocks. The online and offline solution uses user-centered design and behavioral psychology (e.g. nudges and influence mechanisms) to stimulate desired behavior.Since the development of the idea, I am taking the leading role in managing the team of product developers. With a team of 8 experts, we are currently working on the different components of the solution. During the development phase, we work closely with our customers; home-owners and municipalities to ensure that our product is exactly fitting to their needs. Next to doing the project management, I spend my time to arrange partnerships with municipalities and universities to set up pilot projects throughout the Netherlands.

De Energiebespaarders is a rapidly growing scale-up offering private home-owners and a hassle-free tailor-made solution to retrofit their house and make it more energy-efficient. We call our service sustainable living without any hassle. By making complex steps simple, making your house more energy-efficient is no longer time-consuming, complex and expensive. We do this on the basis of our mission: "Making energy-positive living easy and accessible for everyone." Major improvements can be made by taking a critical look at the conventional processes within the chain. Both the use of new technologies and creating cross-service partnerships ensure greater accessibility to sustainable living. With my background from Public Policy and Management, I analyze the chain in the multi-actor field. The challenge is not only about technology development and social implementation, but it is also important that it is also in line with government policy. With this in mind, I am constantly looking at how we can improve our service, make the service more efficient and thus increase the social impact.

Student Technology In Politics (STIP) is a city council party in Delft ran by students and for all Delfts' residents. The party has 6 of the 39 seats on the city council and a role in the coalition. Bas Vollebregt is an alderman for STIP, with the portfolios Economy, Culture and Fundamentals and real estate. This makes STIP unique: we are the only student city council party in the Netherlands with an alderman. As part of the board, I organize activities such as lectures and workshops for our own members and external parties. In addition, this year is the interim campaign year for STIP in which we once again put ourselves in the spotlight among the people of Delft. As treasurer specifically I take care of the finances of the association, including all finances regarding the councilors of STIP.

As a campus recruiter at Aethon, I was responsible for the influx of talented new employees. By carrying out critical CV checks, I ensured that students with an appropriate profile spoke to Aethon recruiters.

Aethon is an organization that places young students with organizations in the public domain. Their flexible availability fits exceptionally well to the flexible need of employees at these institutions. Outside of that, intelligent students are able to learn quickly and have a huge positive impact on the organization in a short timeframe.During my time I worked at "werkorganisatie Duivenvoorde". This work organization regulates a large part of the municipal affairs of the municipalities of Wassenaar and Voorburg. As a front-office employee, I was directly at the interface between the residents and the local government. The impact of policy changes were directly reported to me and my role was to ensure that these insights were transferred to my colleagues.
