Extremely grateful for the opportunity to work as a research assistant at the ePAIN lab at UCSF. The ePAIN lab strives to better understand the overlap between pain and psychiatric conditions. The lab integrates various disciplines, from physiology to psychology to radiology. They unite such techniques as brain imaging and pain and sensory evaluation technology to create a picture of the mechanisms behind the pain and emotion individuals are experiencing.

Lab studying the transcription factor, DAX-1, which is a member of the nuclear hormone receptor family and is linked to the human disease X-linked Adrenal Hypoplasia Congenita (AHC). The research is focused on the role of DAX-1 in human development as well as its involvement in the initiation of breast cancer.

-Voicing/acting as the patients-Operating the High-Fidelity Mannikin-Operating the audio and visual equipment-Troubleshooting basic technical problems-Collaborating with SIM/clinical instructors to facilitate scenarios-Communication with instructors regarding SIM dates and prepping materials necessary for each scenario

The research focused on the behavioral ecology of mammals. The study was to examine the breeding dispersals in adult male squirrels and short and long term benefits of play behavior for young mammals.

Assisting COVID-19 vaccination site at the University of San Francisco in collaboration with Kaiser Permanente.

Participated and engaged in a variety of stimulating webinars held remotely hosted by physicians, nurses, ACPs, as well as the administrative staff of the Lenox Hill Hospital Department of Neurosurgery
