I have worked on a number of HR related topics affecting the organization, including redesigning employee engagement survey, Know Your Customer leadership research, One Rabo Culture dialogues, employee process effort inquiries, as well as other smaller projects to aid Rabobank in being a great place to work and thrive.

I research and advise on the psychological processes involved in our customers’ (both travelers and partners) decision making and behavior, enabling development teams in the organization to improve our products. I’ve been involved in research projects concerning optimalisation as well as scoping new opportunities. Taking an internal view, I’ve also been involved in researching Bookings internal processes (e.g. processes in Customer Service), and advising in legal matters concerning the use of psychological techniques when looking at local or EU regulations.To get to the best results, I’m a strong proponent of combining qualitative and quantitative data to get a full picture of what’s necessary for the customer (or our own employees) to succeed. As such I’ve been involved closely with experimentation, not afraid to get into the data myself (MYSQL, HADOOP, R) as well as working with other disciplines (e.g. datascience, analysts).Strongly believing we can always learn and improve, I organise regular knowledge sharing sessions among researchers with the organization. On regular occasions I’ve given talks about psychology and methods at Booking, but also at commercial and academic conferences.
