Managing within the highly regulated food manufacturing industry, my role was to first develop project charter, scope and plan documents, and subsequently manage the project within the framework of the Quality Management System (QMS). Technically, we utilised Deploy, Measure and Analyse modules of Six Sigma methodology to size potential benefits available to Lesaffre in terms of operational capacity.

Divisional strategy demands significantly increased speed to market for both commercial and development products, resulting in significant lead time and capacity challenges for the Swiss laboratory network in Basel and Kaiseraugst. Supporting twelve laboratory teams (small molecule and large molecule) to develop and implement laboratory operations solutions and associated organisation structures, my role has been to mobilise three project teams to identify, quantify and exploit opportunities to reduce laboratory lead times and throughput capabilities.
