Since childhood, I have shown an insatiable curiosity for knowledge. Every answer prompted a new question and thanks to my father's insight this was very much the breeding ground for my critical and analytical thinking skills. Although I will always love books, I feel the privilege of living in an era of technology where a world of knowledge is accessible at the fingertips of the technology savvy. I come from a background as a Registered Nurse and I believe once a nurse is always a nurse. My love and compassion for people and the acquired interpersonal and management skills will be forever part of who I am. My part-time work on clinical trials as a study coordinator gave me a passion for research and a desire to contribute to the knowledge pool. I also completed a post-graduate management qualification in Health science management and nursing administration with the University of Stellenbosch Cum Laude and was top of the class in 2016, proof of my dedication and determination for success. As a clinical data analyst, I use my vast clinical knowledge which I keep relevant and updated. It furthermore allows me to turn the data that I have extracted by using SQL into information and insight to support the business in decision-making. I have been instrumental in picking up on trends and identifying fraudulent behaviour that resulted in the reversal of claims and the implementation of measures to prevent further financial losses. I worked independently to build diagnosis reference groupers for the Africa database as well as a pathology grouper which was ground-breaking work for this environment to enable more accurate and effective analysis. My post-grad nursing management qualification included modules for Human resource management, Labour relations, Economic and Financial Management, Policy analysis, formulation and implementation and Risk management which provided me with solid knowledge and a foundation to add value to my employer.I am flexible, eager to grow, and courageous enough to take on a new job opportunity if it provides me with the satisfaction of meaningful work that can make a difference while being part of a team that encourages inclusivity.
