Inventing, designing and implementing software tools which aid neuroscientists with viewing and manipulating 2D and 3D high-resolution medical imaging data. The tools are developed as part of the Human Brain Project (http://www.humanbrainproject.eu/)Such as- high-performance Java component for creating tiled image pyramids for handling extremely high resolution (gigapixel-range) 2D images- online, Web-based viewer and annotation tool for 2D tiled image pyramids- online, Web-based viewer for 3D volumetric datasets (such as MRI), with support for user-defined cutting plane having arbitrary orientation- offline version of the above tool- mesh generator component for creating surface meshes from 3D volumetric (brain-)parcellations- online viewer for meshes with support for user-defined cutting plane having arbitrary orientation
