o Working within the Global metals commodity team across business units on spend analysis, sourcing plans, development of commodity strategies with the Commodity Directoro Develops partner-style, win-win relationships with suppliers and up-front agreements on supplier commitment, projects, timing and measurement of results in pursuit of continuous improvement, problem-solving, waste elimination and decision-making in all phases of the supplier development lifecycle.o Aggressive cost reduction management by generating cost reduction programs, supplier negotiation, Reverse auctions, and request for quotations (RFQ)o Supplier sourcing through market scans, request for proposals (RFP), Requests for information (RFI), supplier selection and costing tools.o Supplier management through contract negotiation and management, inventory programs (VMI, SMI), continuous improvement, engineering/supplier collaboration, quality improvements and Quarterly business reviewso Monitor commodity trends, emerging technologies, supplier/market capacity, and supply and demand challenges.
