I am an accomplished COO, Managing Director and Senior Executive with an outstanding 20+ year record of managing successful companies, business units, major projects and restructuring initiatives for a number of world class enterprises. As my professional path unfolded, I got the opportunity to gain experiences in leading highly dynamic and fast paced organizations, both at small/medium sized companies and dislocated international subsidiaries (in Europe, China and India), as well as international and culturally diverse teams. In my career, I have followed two parallel paths: On the one hand, I have been focusing on the transformation of development, production and project management organizations into state-of-the-art business units facilitating streamlined and efficient processes. On the other hand, I have been executing major customer projects and programs. I specifically enjoy managing a cross-functional team of executive leaders in a culturally diverse environment. I learned the concept of “inverse leadership” (today better known as transformational leadership) from the company owner and former CEO of Hella, Juergen Behrendt, and have used this concept henceforth. I pay attention to detail and structure as well as focus on the big picture. I am particularly passionate about using innovative strategy and strong fundamentals to build operational efficiency, financial business excellence and competitive advantage. In my current role, I devote a significant amount of time to collaborating with customers, shareholders, suppliers, colleagues, and employees.
