Role as solutions architect involved enabling business strategy by designing business applicable solutions and aligning solutions to the strategic architectural vision of Barclays Africa Group. This required extensive interaction and collaboration with business stakeholders as well as technical teams. A key requirement of the position was to define a strategic technical vision for business units across multiple domains and then drive the implementation of the vision in partnership with key stakeholders. I have fulfilled this role across a range of projects in the regulatory, finance and risk areas and have taken over the additional responsibility of team lead for Market Risk and Liquidity Risk in the Risk Services domain. The team lead role has allowed me to grow as a leader and manager for both technical and business oriented teams allowing me to gain exposure to different aspects of managing a team. My role as system analyst included planning and design of solutions that was implemented in the Risk and Compliance department. I was responsible for finding creative and innovative solutions to empower business through increased efficiency and automation. I was also responsible for aligning project solutions to the bank wide architecture and making sure that they were implemented according to best practice.I designed and implemented a number of solutions using multiple technology stacks integrating with different systems across different departments.Key Responsibilities of role:• Interacting with users to understand business requirements• End-to-end understanding of a solution including impacts • Producing requirements specifications, architectural designs for projects • Getting buy-in for the solution from stakeholders which includes the business, project team and other architects• Defining non-functional requirement for a project and making sure they are fully tested during the testing phase of the project• Supervising application build, test, and deployment activities• Progress reporting to stakeholders• Prepare architecture documents and models for the project

Responsible for various production systems and processes within the bank, this required extensive data and process analysis as well as interaction with relevant stakeholders to deliver the best possible solution.This role included development of new systems as well as interaction with different areas within the bank.

Company provided IT risk management and fraud solutions to financial institutions. Main duties included doing extensive data analysis on big volumes of data and understanding business requirements. HLB-NGA ,being a small sized company,required a lot of interaction with customers as well as taking a project through all the different life cycle stages all the way to implementation.
