As Audience Evangelism Manager at Microsoft I was Empowering Developers and StartUps to achieve more.In this role I had the overall responsibility for shaping and driving the local engagement strategy, communication plan and execution framework for how Microsoft builds sustainable relationships and meaningful conversations with our technical audiences at scale.Especially working with communities and building out our network there like organizing and attending Meetups, StartUp contest and presenting on stage to technical as well as business audiences were an important part of my role.

As a Technical Audience Marketing manager I am driving change with Technical Audiences!I am an experienced Marketing professional with a strong background in marketing analysis, search and social media marketing improving the company’s reach and relevance with IT professionals and Developers in Austria.As an Technical Audience Marketing Manager (AMM) i am shaping and driving the local engagement strategy, communication plan and execution framework for how Microsoft builds sustainable relationships and meaningful conversations with our technical audiences at scale. The role focuses is on these audiences: Software Developers, Infrastructure Professionals, Designers, Architects and Students and works hand in hand with a team of Technology Evangelists and subject matter experts.

In this role I launched the consumer oriented “Sicher-im-Internet” campaign, generating a lot of positive press for Microsoft, and getting invited to TV-Studios to comment on Internet Security. I did set up 'Sicher-im-Internet' as a Platform of different Austrian Companies like Bank Austria and also Governmental Partners like the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Justice. During this initiative I for instance did press conferences together with members of the federal assembly, the Minister of Interrior the Minister of Social Affairs and also high ranking members of the Administration of the City of Vienna.For my Security book for children I was nominated for the Austrian State Price for PR, and also the European SABRE (Superior Achievement in Branding & Reputation) Awards.Since then I served as the recognized “go to” custodian, advocate, and respected authority for security topics at Microsoft Austria. I maintained and supported product managers and other internal stakeholders with intelligence and guidance on the topic, like support during press conferences as Subject Matter Expert.

As Business Group Lead - Servers I was fully responsible for the complete Microsoft Server Business in Austria. From a business perspective, I did Budgeting, monthly Forecasting, prepared the numbers and Talking Points for Mid Year Review, and were responsible for the presentation of the Server market and the Revenue Situation to Microsoft Top executive leaders..In my time as Business Group Lead for the Server Products, I launched all .NET Enterprise Servers up to the Flagship, the Windows Server 2003. Together with Marcom I invented the BigDays, which was for many years one of the biggest tech events in Austria.

I joined Microsoft in January as a fully certified Systems Engineer. Working within the Enterprise and Partner Group (EPG), together with Account managers, customers and Partners I presented the added Value of the Microsoft Platform and helped selling Microsoft Server Solutions. This was essentially the early form of the Specialists Technical Unit (STU) role nowadays.My direct Responsibility was for Windows Server, Systems Management Server and SNA-Server / Host Integration Server. During the launch of Windows Server 2000, I played an essential role in the Launch Team, driving Customer references and working in close cooperation the the Server Product ManagerIn summer 2000 I changed to a marketing role and took over the role of the Business Group Lead for Servers.

At MKL I was the Chief Technology Officer, responsible also for our IT-Security. Most of the time I was at the customers sites, providing trainings, and doing Workshops. In Oktober we sold the company to a German enterprise, and two months later I left to Microsoft.

Doing technical trainings and IT-Consulting gained me a deep technical knowledge around the Microsoft Backoffice Server Suite. It also enabled me to develop great experience in Presenting to different sizes and different groups of audiences.Running my own little IT-Shop, I learned basic knowledge around accounting, forecasting and marketing.
