I got an early start in the automation world, before I had any idea what I was doing I was helping my dad by typing ladder logic programs from printed sheets of paper into an Omron CQM1 handheld PLC Programmer, I learned the basics of wire-looming, soldering and control circuitry all whilst playing/putting together projects in my dads‘ workshop.At school my interest in the engineering of electronic systems, coding and communication developed. Putting together complex systems, debugging and improving them always pulled my interest, I find the interworking of the physical and software worlds fascinating. My University degree was in Computer and Electronic Engineering after which I developed and studied the efficiency of a Dual-Axis Solar tracker.I gained my first professional work experiences part-time whilst at University, after University I had the opportunity to join Sigmatek Automation in the UK, even though I had never been to the UK, the move was very exciting and rewarding. I married in 2016 and in 2018 we moved to Austria where Sigmatek Automation is headquartered. Since then I have learned alot, I find the balance of low-level development, integration of complex systems, software architecture design, working close to hardware, teamwork and communication exciting.My personal and professional experiences have taught me the following about myself:- I love to be challenged in life and need to be the best I can to be satisfied.- I stay calm and maintain a logical approach when faced with adversity.- I enjoy being very involved on a technical level but also like to bring systems together on a higher level.Professional Skills / KnowledgeProject and Team Management | System Integration | Real Time System Programming | Robotics | AGV Control | Communication Protocols | Device-Cloud Connection | User Interface DesignMy hobbies naturally focus around coding and electronics, whether I am building an LED Cube, growing plants with artificial light or 3D Printing there always has to be some real world - software interface to it.
