Johnson & Johnson has two manufacturing sites on its Cashel campus. I was initially recruited to the Alza business which manufactures transdermal nicotine and Fentanyl patches, but was asked to move to the Cordis site on divestiture. Cordis is a drug-eluting stent manufacturer in the research and development phase of manufacture.Achievements• Developed into Technical operator through ME2 programme• Identification of continuous improvement plans with technical department resulting in quicker changeovers leading to cost savings.• Successfully worked with Engineering on product quality project to challenge the parameters testing the impact of best case / worst case scenarios.• 100% compliance following health, safety, environment rules and procedures• Involved in start up of company so actively participated in creation of MWIs• Identified as key operator and trained in Q.C. inspection • Gathered data on controlled test conditions and accurately input data on analysis sheetsResponsibilities• Ensure daily production targets were met to meet stringent FDA regulations• Filling of Log Books and fully reconciling the processed lots in the batch paperwork.• Maintain GMP/Housekeeping standards• Full adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures and documenting results as per SOP requirements• Set-up and ‘challenge’ of equipment along with cleans between batches• Training of new personnel in the stent attachment area
