After 38 years of working in the education industry, 18 years as an educational consultant, and 5 years of experience helping my son balance his education and his terminal disease, I learned one significant fact about our school districts – They are not ready to support the traumas and crises of their students. This led me to take it upon myself to provide the resources, tools, and guidance our school districts and teachers need to be able to support their students through their crises and trauma. Through my book Navigating the Unexpected, speaking opportunities, and consulting possibilities, I ensure that they are able to answer the question, "Are you ready?" with a positive outcome.
