Singer Songwriter, multi instrumentalist. Commercial placements include several songs used in audio demos for the Bose Corporation for their Wave Radio, DVD player and Car Stereos for Mercedes Benz and Alpha Romeo. Film placements: Geri's song "A Question of When" was used in "Indian Fish in American Waters" by Manish Gupta. "On the Outside Looking In" was co-written with Pete Levin for the film "Zelimo" by Aleks Rosenberg. Geri was co-writer w/John Hadfield for most of the songs on John's 2 Kid's albums, "Monkeys in the House" and "Robot Monkey Head". These albums won several Kid's Choice Awards and are featured on Kid's Corner, a syndicated Radio show on WXPN Philadelphia, as well as satellite radio. There are videos available on You Tube for "Robot Monkey Head" and "Bookmobile Submarine" a more recent Smith/Hadfield track. Cowrites recently released: "My Baby Girl" and "Average Joe" are both on Sol Knopf's 2013 release "Sea Change". "My Baby Girl" video has had over 500,000 views on You Tube!My Time With You" cowritten with Billy Penn Burger, is on Billy's 2013 release "Living Documents". I also did backup vocals on all these albums.

Chester County Family Academy

This year I was awarded a TAP (teaching artist partnership) by the PA Council for the Arts. This Grant was made possible by the Darlington Art Center. I work with a class of low income children - mostly second graders, with a few first graders who are at a higher level than the first grade class. We write songs about the subjects they are studying, as well as mixing in as many of the other Arts as possible. Our main focus is to help the children develop higher level thinking skills, particularly regarding writing and literacy. The Arts are a great conduit for higher level thinking and creativity. We address the common core standards in all our lessons. The children's test scores have all improved, some dramatically.
