Kula for Karma is an innovative 501(c)3 organization, promoting wellness among society's most vulnerable populations at no cost. Kula pioneers the integration of therapeutic yoga, meditation, and stress management into mainstream medicine and healthcare.As founder of Kula for Karma, I was responsible for pioneering an integrative healthcare solution to promote collaboration among the medical and spiritual healing communities, indulging and expanding the practice of holistic medical care. Some of the most noteworthy accomplishments include:• Nurtured the growth of the Kula for Karma organization from infancy to maturity, launching over 600 programs in the Tri-State area, and touching thousands of people to enhance emotional and physical healing• Spearheaded extensive fundraising through creative programming and events, including a “Kulathon” full-day yoga event in 2015; a “20 in 30 Peer to Peer” collaborative yoga initiative in 2016; a “Yoga Summer Flow For a Cause” held in SoHo in 2016; and most importantly, Kula for Karma’s annual Gala, now in its 10th year, attracting over 400 guests last year alone, raising over $300,000• Expanded national presence through a strategic partnership with Advanced Recovery Systems• Established a unique platform for encouraging volunteerism by motivating and inspiring those benefiting from programs to obtain certifications, enabling them to give back to others • Represented Kula for Karma in Rwanda, Africa in support of “Global Grassroots,” a conscious mission driving social change for women• Established / manage Kula for Karma Executive Board, Business Advisory Board and Medical Board• Launched (2016) “Ask The Expert,” a symposium of Kula for Karma affiliated medical professionals, allowing for collaboration, education and community building to further the mission• Delivered multiple workshops at Kripalu in Lenox, MA (2014-2016)• Guest speaker at multiple events and medical symposiums
