I’m currently working as an avionics technician for H-1 helicopters with ACET!In addition to my experience as a technician in aviation and aerospace, I decided to pursue a long-time interest in retail. I expressed interest in growing within the company and was quickly provided with an opportunity as Keyholder. This role offered me experience with managing direct reports: learning how to effectively manage my time and the times of others, as well as provide training and mentorship. I began 2024 in my new role as assistant manager. Within this role, I expanded my depth of knowledge and experience as a leader, developed my skills as a manager, and furthered my passion for fashion. After some time in this industry, I was presented an opportunity to work in aviation once again, and am proud to be back working on skids! My experience in the aviation industry began in 2016 as an H-1 Bell helicopter avionics technician in the United States Marine Corps. I helped troubleshoot, maintain, and repair over 20 aircraft.In 2019, I shifted my career into aerospace as an integration technician for Dragon crew and cargo at Space Exploration Technologies. I'm lucky to have worked on capsules 205 to 211 (go Dragon!). I routed wire through the spacecraft and its engines, working alongside responsible engineers to create efficient and accurate instructions to drive a faster build time. With my team, we reduced the build time by 30%. Outside of my usual role, I pursued interests in orbital welding, machinery operations, and quality inspection. I also became an authorized overseer, providing a career pathway for quality inspection. After my time at SpaceX, I joined Momentus Space as an avionics technician. Fortunately for me, I was able transition into an R&D technician, working alongside engineers to help bring new ideas and concepts to life. After expressing interest for more responsibility in my role, I also became a laboratory operations manager. I saw to the day-to-day maintenance of 8 laboratories and one clean room, including monthly audits of lab safety equipment, inspections of gear and inventory, and 5S training of employees. I wrote multiple documents regarding lab safety, including proper disposal of hazardous waste, fire safety, and ESD. I also took up a role in our company safety committee!I pride myself in being personable and collaborative, hard-working and fast-learning. I chose to transition out of my technician role to expand my knowledge, further my career, and pursue a passion for fashion. I'm driven, motivated, and willing to work.
