CurrentCherbourg Bakery is operated by myself, with the help of very talented friends and family. I began Cherbourg Bakery, because I love to bake and now have to live a gluten free life. I come from a long line of great bakers, but necessity is the mother of invention.Why the name Cherbourg? Cherbourg, France served as a port for my grandmother when she left Hungary for the USA before WWII and my Grandfather landed in Cherbourg when he served as an Army Scout in WWII. My sister and I visited Cherbourg 13 years ago and the people, food, and place left an indelible mark. Cherbourg provided a launching pad for freedom for ours and many families' lives and now hopefully for the new business.
