Project: Clinacanthus nutans hexane extract induces apoptosis via intrinsic and extrinsic pathways on human hepatocellular carcinoma (HepG2) cells. - Funded by Institute of Research, Development and Innovation (IRDI) under IMU- Conducted plenty of assays and techniques like 3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-Yl)-2,5- Diphenyltetrazolium Bromide (MTT) assays, mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) assays, Annexin V staining, measurement of caspase activities, cell line culture, preparation of plant extract in hexane- The objectives of this project were to investigate the apoptogenic properties of Clinacanthus nutans hexanic extract on HepG2 cells and the apoptotic pathways involved in inhibiting the growth of HepG2 cells- Review paper about anticancer peptides was written.
