Arts and culture can transform lives.I help people, professionals and organisations to design, to coordinate and to deliver educational projects that inspires and transforms by the use of the arts & culture.My educational background and professional experience are in Theatre Pedagogy, Social Psychology and Arts & Culture management and span several years in both Argentina and London.In October 2006 I moved to London, invited by the Instituto Cervantes to teach Drama in Spanish. Since then, I have developed a strategic plan that uses drama as a springboard for social change. In 2007, I founded Tierra Theatre Company (TTC): a group of Spanish-speaking artists and teachers based at the Instituto Cervantes where two plays were devised and staged under my direction. As part of the same strategic plan, I developed a community project in 2009 applying theatre activities to facilitate social cohesion and work with immigrants and natives to explore difference, inspiring leadership and enterprise. It also formed part of celebrations to commemorate the bicentenary of Latin America’s independence, hosted by the Mayor of London at City Hall in 2010, where I was appointed to coordinate cultural and artistic activities at City Hall. In 2012, I moved to work at the Embassy of Argentina (Culture Department). While working at the Embassy, in June 2016 I founded: 'World's End Community Theatre Group' (WECTG) at Chelsea Theatre. Over two years, I delivered 75 drama workshops and we put on stage the final showcase (a play devised by the community) in June 2018. The TTC and WECTG projects described above are just two examples of my capacity to design, coordinate and deliver independent projects funded from a variety of public and private sources. In both projects, I worked in partnership with other organisations inspiring many people who became volunteers and active participants. TTC and WECTG were socially, environmentally and economically sustainable and played an essential role in the community of immigrants and Spanish-speakers living in London. The data gathered through anonymous questionnaires also showed that both projects have had a significant impact in terms of personal development and well-being, as well as cultivating other learning achievements beyond acting skills.Theatre can transform lives.
