An economist with ample managerial and leadership experience in research, asset management, strategic planning, management control, and organisational development. Currently, working as an economist in the maritime sector as well as in strategic and economic consulting.I have a D.Phil. in Economics from the University of Oxford, an MBA and an M.Phil. in Economics, also from the University of Oxford, as well as a degree in Industrial Engineering and a diploma in Chemical Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.In the past, I have worked doing research in topics related with public health, doing research and in professional practice; I have done portfolio management for both the private and non-profit sectors, and held managerial positions in the maritime industry in Chile. My doctoral research focused on the interaction between governments and firms, in particular, how the choice of regulatory regimes can affect both institutional stability and strategic decision making for the firms.
