WELI is a community wide effort to support the educational goals and leadership of young scholars in Monterey County. The program delivers a network of support, professional & life skills, mentor opportunities, and scholarship awards to participants.

The mission of YWCA is to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. The YWCA addresses complex issues facing families in domestic crisis and transition: our approach to domestic violence is four-fold: to dispense critical immediate support services; to provide strategies for healing once immediate crises pass; to provide education and counseling to break the cycle of violence in the lives of individuals and families; to advocate for public policies focusing on ending family violence. Each of our programs address one of these critical issues. Through leadership and management, the Director of Supportive Services is responsible for the optimal performance of supportive service programs, to include the Youth Education & Advocacy Prevention Education Program, Training & Certification, and Advocacy. The Director of Supportive Services leads the development, implementation, oversight, and evaluation of operational procedures, programs, and functions within their department. Only the final results of work accomplished are typically reviewed, except during developmental stages of new programs or approaches.
