I strongly believe that intensive collaboration between architecture and engineering results inbetter buildings where all disciplines are integrated and complement each other. As a Structural Engineer and Computational Design Specialist I’m passionate about combining the best of both worlds to search for optimal designs for both our clients and the environment.In my current position I’m involved in iconic multi-disciplinary design projects where I fulfil both roles as structural engineer and computational designer. Within these projects I apply the latest digital tools and workflows in order to search for optimal designs and make better informed design decisions. With a critical eye and a good understanding of structural behaviour I’m able to verify the outcome of highly advanced and automated models and workflows.Ever since my studies I’ve got a huge drive to contribute positively to mitigating climate change through my professional work. As structural engineers we have a huge potential in playing a key role in reducing the impact of the built environment. Within our company I’m one of the front runners on this topic, advocating for a faster transition, developing and sharing knowledge and coordinating developments for tooling.Others describe me as creative, open-minded, precise, well organised and a real team player with strong communication skills. In addition to my design and engineering work I’m a Scrum Master in four different in-house development teams. Here I quickly develop my leadership skills and I play a key role in communications and overall development strategy of our in-house developed interoperability platform.
