Gerrie completed his matric in 1999 and took a gap year in England where he worked as a security guard and chef.In 2000 Gerrie studied IT (Computer Hardware and Programming) and obtained a certificate in Visual Basics and PC Hardware.In 2001 Gerrie joined Kestrel Administrators (Short Term Insurance) as an administrator and progressed to Senior Underwriter in 2002. Gerrie also obtained his COP qualification in this period.Gerrie joined OUTsurance in 2003 as a Sales Advisor, he then was promoted to a Team Manger in 2005 and Outbound Sales Manager in 2008. Due to his success as a Sales Manager, Gerrie changed to various other skillsets namely; Internet, Inbound Sales, Business Development and Client Service. Gerrie studied Foundation management and obtained his NQF5 through GIBS. He also obtained his FAIS RE1 Qualification.In 2013 Gerrie moved to FNB Premier Banking to start a Call Centre and became the Head of Premier Suite Sales Centre. His Call Centre generates R1.4 million in Revenue per month and are showing major growth month on month.In 2015 Gerrie moved to FNB Insurance to develop and manage a direct insurance product. This entails Project Management, System Development, Process Developments, Setup Sales Channels, Market Research, Digital Marketing Development, Business Requirement Documents and Financial Business Case.In 2016 Gerrie moved to Legalex to open and manage an Outbound call centre. The Legalex call centre went from 0 sales to more that R100 000 in sales per month, totaling more that R1.2 million monthly income, with an annual turnover of R14 million. This was achieved in only 18 months.In 2020 Gerrie became the General Manager at Legalex, overseeing all aspects of the business, including a direct link to Sales, Admin and Legal. Gerrie is also responsible for IT, Infrastructure and Technology. Gerrie was also project manager during the Covid period, leading a team to enable all staff members to permanently work from home.In 2023 Gerrie moved to TIH overseeing all aspects of Legal Cost Insurance, including a direct link to Sales, Admin and Legal. Gerrie is also respodnsible all Financials, Recruitment, Budgets and the Policy Book.
