I studied Electronic Engineering (Light Current) and hold a Higher National Diploma (T4) from Technikon Pretoria. I have been involved in Electronics, installations and projects for the past 25 years. I started off at ground level installing cables, speakers and equipment and worked my way up. In my spare time I used to fix TV's and other electronic equipment. My involvement moved to systems integration from a design supply, program and commission perspective and this is still what interests me. I was involved with projects like the ICC Durban (original installation), Architectural lighting at Pavilion and Gateway Theatre of shopping, Lighting and power control at the 2010 World Cup Stadium Moses Mabhida in Durban and many other projects. Although I fulfil more of a managerial role, I still try and keep my knowledge up to date at ground level. Electrosonic are the official importers and distributors of Crestron, Kramer, Martin, Elite, Helvar, ADB, Compulite, Versa-light, Sierra Video CM Lodestar, Robert Juliat, Litec and Screen International products in South Africa.Specialties: Audio Visual and Control System design, Project management, Lighting Control.I feel strongly that we as an industry can achieve a lot if we promote the management of energy with our technology.
