About Gerri Wilhelmina L.
When I was a child, it was instilled in me to give 100% effort at everything I did and also not to sweat the little stuff. Those childhood views helped create me into a dedicated individual that manages well through stressful situations. And ever since I laid my fingers on my first keyboard, I felt an attachment to computers and numbers. It makes sense being that I actually enjoy being on a computer for well over 10 hours a day. EmploymentI have been employed by the City of Mesa for almost 20 years, which authenticates my dedication. I have had several position changes, and currently, I am a Financial Specialist. I also Co-Chair (alongside one of the Assistant City Managers) on the City of Mesa's Community Spirit Executive Committee. This committee coordinates and runs events that our fellow employees participate in to raise funds for our local non-profits, schools, and citizens. KnowledgeI am furthering my education as a student at Chandler-Gilbert Community College (CGCC). After I complete my associate degree in accounting at CGCC, I will be attending Northern Arizona University (NAU). I have taken a multitude of classes in programs such as databases, spreadsheets, and word processing. I have extensive experience working in administration, finance, accounting, grants, local government, and federal funding. Some of my experience also includes budget management, financial reporting of federal funds, analyzing, forecasting, monitoring of sub-recipient grantees, and reviewing non-profit application requests for funding. I have experience working in PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, and QuickBooks; and more advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Access. I also have experience updating and creating SharePoint sites, webpages, brochures, and newsletters. About My Work StyleQuality work is a priority; I strive for excellence.
