I work in the field of spatial data infrastructures and data science. An example of my work is the setup of basin wide data management systems in the hydrological domain using open source software and techniques to enable mulitple use of large data sets (i.e. modelling, spatial data analysis and time series visualisation). This is done in a wide variety of countries around the world (Kenya, Azerbaijan and India). Activities in the Netherlands mainly concentrate on the LHM (Country Wide Modelling approach) and online data management (see http://nhi.nu/dataportaal).
