About Gerrit-Jan Linker

As an ICT freelancer I provide full life cycle programming services. My experience gained since 1995 covers several functional areas and industries including: Utilities, Airports, Pharmaceutical, Finance (Insurance & Banking), Housing. Technically my profiency is in database systems (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, Access, etc), PL/SQL and SQL but also in a host of other programming languages and tools, including but not limited to: PhP, JQuery, Visual Basic, VBA, ADO, Oracle DeveloperFor my scientific work I am affiliated to the MESA+ institute at Twente University in the Computational Chemical Physics group of prof. Claudia Filipppi. I gained my PhD at the Zernike Institute for Advanced materials under supervision of Ria Broer, Piet van Duijnen and Paul van Loosdrecht. The general interest is in quantum chemistry and physical chemistry with the aim to study functional materials. I specialise in performing ab initio, DFT and Quantum Monte Carlo calculations on atoms, molecules and the condensed phase (periodic systems).
