Mr. Bazuin is considered one of the world’s leading consultants in civil and mining dredges and in mineral separation equipment. He is based in Mongolia.Mr. Bazuin has been a leading engineer for large dredge projects for IHC Holland in China, Indonesia, DRC, Italy, Iraq, Taiwan, Brazil, Argentina, Columbia, Chile, Dubai, Hong Kong, Iran. He is fluent in English and Dutch and has a working knowledge of Italian, Spanish, French and German languages. For 17 years he has been continuously involved in alluvial gold and tin mining projects in Mongolia through the entire mining cycle, from concept stage, through drilling, pre-feasibility and feasibility stages to mining, mineral processing, to mine-site restoration and rehabilitation. During this time he has gained unrivalled experience in overcoming the challenges of alluvial mining in Mongolia, including contract negotiation, cadastre, licensing, permitting, recruitment, training and community relations. This includes extensive interaction with thousands of informal miners.He has been in charge of specifying, importing, local manufacture, installation, commissioning, operation, servicing, training and decommissioning of the complete range of alluvial gold mining equipment: camp housing, diesel generators, power-lines, bulldozers, excavators, trucks, centrifuges, sluices, mineral jigs, screens, gold rooms, dredges, pontoons, hydraulics, water pumps, slurry pumps, long-distance slurry pipelines. Mr. Bazuin has designed and built in Mongolia large gold wash-plants, notably IHC mineral jigs, as well as New Zealand hydraulic gold sluices.He is a fully qualified Marine Engineer (MC) awarded in the Netherlands, and for many years has been a qualified Engineering Surveyor for dredges and associated equipment.He is an active member of the Dutch Association of Maritime Technicians (NVTS), and a long-time member of Ulaanbaatar Rotary Club.
