Research Fellow at the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration East Midlands (ARC-EM). With this research we explore the needs of people with Young Onset Dementia, particularly regarding their access to and use of technology. The focus will be on capacity-building with the community, health and social care professionals, and academia.

Research fellow for DISTINCT (Dementia: Intersectorial Strategy for Training and Innovation Network for Current Technology). Focusing on improving online peer support for people with Young Onset Dementia.

Since there are differences in dementia care systems across Europe, this Taskforce aims to improve care and psychosocial support for people living with Young Onset Dementia and to establish how this can be best integrated into current social and healthcare systems.

As one of the two first Junior Representatives in the INTERDEM Board I represent the INTERDEM Academy and Early Career Researchers in psychosocial dementia research more broadly. I aim to build strong connections between researchers across career stages, disciplines and countries.

INTERDEM is a European network for researchers in psychosocial dementia research and has over 500 members. There are different taskforces, and I’m active in the taskforce on Social Health and the taskforce on Inequalities in Dementia Care. Within INTERDEM I’m a member of INTERDEM Academy, a training network for early career researchers. The aim is to support early stage researchers in their development to senior posts in the field. Membership includes participation in expert workshops and masterclasses.

Providing research support for projects regarding eHealth interventions. Supporting the research team in: organising and planning of project activities, contacting and recruiting participants, conducting and transcribing interviews, and providing training to professionals.

Placement in the Alliance for Research in Exercise, Nutrient and Activity (ARENA), School of Health Sciences. Project: 'Evaluation of the Forget me Not program: A dementia friendly schools program'. Supporting the research team in: preparing study materials, running project activities, data entry and conducting interviews with parents and children.
