Have held down a variety of day jobs over a 30 year period whilst all the time moonlighting as a singer and guitarist, both as a solo act and in several bands. At various times I have been a bartender, lab technician, car valet, leather tanner, roadworks labourer, lab technician (again), supply chain planner, youth worker, and bar/restaurant manager. Before Covid-19, I would divide my time between playing (mostly) solo gigs by night around Singapore’s scene, and keeping busy by day working from home as a freelance copywriter. During Covid, the wisdom of reinvention/pivoting became apparent so I started performing online and also took the Cambridge CELTA course and started teaching English. Now I'm working full time at Singapore's leading English language school and still moonlighting with the occasional gig.
