Gerry is the inventor of the RH-Cube , also several other patents.

Gerry began his career in Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) at a very young age by helping his father fix appliances in his father's garage. Refrigeration fascinated him and he felt every repair was like a new discovery. Gerry received a diploma in HVAC when he was 22, and after at a young age he started his own successful HVAC company, which he ran for 13 years. He then moved to Houston, Texas where he established a second HVAC company which he ran for several years. It was this stay in Houston which made Gerry realize an inherent weakness with current air conditioners: they do not control humidity very well. He realized that air conditioners can only provide proper dehumidification under a narrow range of conditions; otherwise, they tend to create uncomfortable environments while wasting staggering amounts of energy. Gerry knew that there had to be a better way. This was inspiration that started Gerry on his ten-year quest to build a more energy-efficient dehumidification system. Gerry also studied to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to facilitate his innovation. He learned in 3D CAD, CFD simulation, psychrometrics, chemistry, physics, and electronics to add to his skills. Upon returning to Canada he began the work that has culminated in the RH-Cube dehumidifier technology and product launch. Gerry also taught HVAC at Algonquin College to share his knowledge with a younger generation.Invention is not a straight-forward process. Gerry’s initial designs were based on desiccant rotor technology. Only after exhausting that avenue of research did Gerry begin developing a refrigeration-based system that employed air-to-air heat exchangers, the underlying technology of the RH-Cube.
