CurrentIn this role I have demonstrated consistently strong aptitudes in delivering strategic and operational direction to this newly created Integrated Service, working in close collaboration with the Chief Executive and Director of Public Realm, playing a key role as the Council’s recognised lead expert, deputising for the Chief Executive when required at senior level local partnership, governmental and stakeholder meetings.I have delivered a series of successful high profile initiatives including a late night levy approved by Council on licensed premises (with 100% of the funds raised being spent within the Borough), revised Licensing and Enforcement policies, a successful Foods Standards Agency Audit and managing an annual crime prevention grant of £500,000.In more specific terms, I am developing and implementing innovative and transformational policies and programmes in high level technical areas including Terrorism Prevention Strategies, Integrated Gangs Intervention, Proceeds of Crime Financial Investigations, ASB interventions, Food and Business Safety, Public Space and Estate Safety, Noise Abatement and Control and Premises Licensing; overseeing and leading operational decision making for senior managers as well as up to 110 members of staff with an overall annual budget of £6 Million; have proved central to the delivery of a joined up operational practice, integrating key strategic aims and delivering on the Mayor’s priorities as well as the Council’s corporate objectives and liaise successfully with all material internal and external stakeholders, ensuring coherent alignment and achievement of service objectives.I am also leading and managing cohesive and target driven teams to secure operational success, coordinate negotiations with Trade Union representatives, work in and as part of major large scale and complex partnerships and oversee financial and budgetary planning, monitoring expenditure and analysing financial performance.
